The Comic Book Swap Meet made a big return this past weekend. If you've been following
thestevestrout.com long enough, you know that the Comic Book Swap Meet is the mini comic con I produce here on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, just west of Seattle. Hope you enjoy this quick recap of this fun event. I put a lot of love into these shows for you all.
Unfortunately, due to me personally being so busy at the show, I only managed to take a minimal amount of photos, but I'm excited to share them here with you. I made sure to link to everyone's Twitter accounts in the photos, so please take a moment to check them out!

We did some nice fundraisers for the local foodbank and homeless shelters too. We had a ton of donated prizes for our raffles including movie posters and passes, art from comic creators Jeffrey Veregge, and our show guest, Blacky Shepherd, as well as books from Chuck Anderson, Greg Smith (Junior Braves of the Apocalypse), geek writer Bonnie Burton (starwars.com, CNET), and a huge box load of comics and swag from our sponsor, Valiant Entertainment . Thanks to everyone who contributed!

Overall the Comic Book Swap Meet was a success, and were gonna get planning the next one very soon. I made sure to get a few of these mini posters autographed by Jeremy Colwell, one of the poster artists and guest of honor at the show, for some prizes for our readers.
Steve Strout is the media mastermind (haha) behind this site, host of the Comic Book Swap Meet, nerd, terrible artist, gamer, convention goer and comic book reader who spends more time rescuing toys from thrift shops than a normal adult should. He is also known around the northwest for his promotion of live music and stand-up comedy events and is the creator/producer of the Comic Book Swap Meet mini convention, and Olympic Peninsula Comedy Competition (which will make it's big return soon!).
