I don't know how many of our readers are Supernatural fans, but I love the show. It has a lot of personal meaning to me. I know I've mentioned the tough last couple years I've had, but in some weird way, this television show (along with my beloved Walking Dead) has taught me a lot about perseverance and overcoming odds and obstacles in life. Q&A With Award Winning Sci Fi Author and SDCC Co-founder, Greg Bear

My little town had a visit recently from renowned sci-fi author and one of the founding members of the San Diego Comic Con, Greg Bear. The Key City Public Theatre presented a reading of some of Mr. Bear's work (which was brilliantly performed by a KCPT cast member). It was a nice evening of some sci-fi storytelling, as well as old and new friends. I connected with Greg Bear and set up this Q&A you're about to read. I highly recommend digging in to some of his writings such as , Eon, Star Wars: Rogue Planet, and Blood Music.

Q&A With Cosplayer and Model, Ireland Reid

What was your first cosplay or costume? I’ve been in costumes since I can remember as I was always in drama and theater in school. So I have been an Christmas Elf, Rabbit, etc (way to many to list man)


Who or what inspired you to cosplay? I have forever been bored with normal life attire

Pretty Good Week...

It's been a pretty quiet week for me, but I started the weekend off checking out the Peanuts movie! I grew up reading the comic strips and the holiday specials were yearly traditions.

Had a busy week at the ol' day job, but gotta pay the bills. Basically spent the week buzzing from the great weekend at Jet City Comic Show. The awesome nerdiness carried over to this weekend with a big movie release, in Spectre, and mingling with more renowned sci-fi and fantasy authors..
